The Kenai and Kasilof Rivers are two of the main rivers for freshwater fishing on the Kenai Peninsula and consistent producers of trophy Salmon and Rainbow Trout.
The Kasilof is almost all glacial fed causing a light green water color year-around. This is also a drift only river. We fish the Kasilof from the middle of May through June for the Spring King Salmon. We return in August to fish for those Sporty Silvers.

The Kenai River picks up in late June and we continue fishing there through late August. This river can be narrow, deep and swift or quickly turn into a wide meandering water flow. Drift boats and flats boats run the river with 50HP or less. We fish the "middle river" from Skilak Lake to Bing's Landing. Here we have the opportunity to catch Kings, Sockeye and Silvers, but primarily focus on catching Trophy Rainbow and Dolly Varden (Catch n' Release only). Try it ... you'll love it!
